February 26, 2010 Meeting Minutes

The Union County Redevelopment Commission met at 9am in the Union County Commissioners’ meeting room of the Union County Courthouse. Commission members Bill Frazer, Melanie Caldwell, Dennis Estridge, Chris Rosenberger and Kris Lacy were in attendance. Members of the community and the press who were in attendance included: Pam Tharp, Palladium-Item; Bev Woodruff, The Liberty Herald; Tonya Paddock, UCDC; Justin Dare, Travis Hughes, David Woodruff, and Gary Dare.

The meeting minutes of January 19, 2010 were read and approved unanimously by a motion made by Chris Rosenberger and seconded by Dennis Estridge.

Before opening the bids, Bill Frazer discussed the Milestone plan that will be utilizing some of the Industrial Park land for the U.S. 27 Highway project. A proposed blueprint was presented for all bidders to review and ask questions.

Bill Frazer at 9:20am announced the opening of all bids for the farming of the Industrial Park Land.

The following bids were submitted in a timely manner:

David Woodruff’s final bid of $165 per acre was accepted.

With a motion by Dennis Estridge and seconded by Kris Lacy the commission accepted and approved a Liberty Herald bill for advertising for payment. Bill Frazer also reported that Indiana Eastern Railroad did receive a grant from INDOT for the railroad spur to be built on the Industrial Park ground.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
